Kings Kompany is comprised of dedicated believers who seek to be salt and light in their community. Their various configurations make them quite versatile. They can minister at church youth functions as a rockin\' band and for ladies\' gatherings as a harmonic quartet called FourScore . Whatever the event, Kings Kompany can provide the music-and always to the glory of God.
Kings Kompany is also a praise band with a large repertoire of praise and worship songs that will lead your congregation to the throne of grace. A list can be provided prio to your event so you can choose which songs are most familiar to your church.
"Music is such a powerful tool. God can use it to bring joy to the downcast, shake up the complacent or to comfort a wounded heart. It is our goal whenever we sing to do a little of each and more. We trust that God will use us in whatever way He sees fit in touching and transforming lives through our ministry of music.
But we dare not take credit for what He does as we plant new seeds or water seeds that have already been planted in people\'s hearts. We are only the vessels, the tools in His hand. As I Corinthians 3:7 states it: \'Neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.\' We love to hear stories of growth that has taken place as a result of our labors and, while we rejoice, we\'re careful to give God the glory."
On a personal note, the weekly practices with this group of folks is truly the highlight of my week. Musicians have rightfully earned the reputation for being rather temperamental, but I\'ve been pleasantly surprised to find that not to be the case with this particular set of talented musicians. We have a lot of fun together- laughing, praying, and making music. Everybody\'s pretty laid-back and easy to get along with. In fact, in the 3 1/2 years we\'ve been together, there has never been a word raised in anger. At practice, we all work together toward the common goal of making our music the best it can be, in our desire to honor Christ, each offering suggestions and ideas.
It\'s such a joy to be linked in ministry with people of this calibre, people who I know I could call in the middle of the night in a crisis. Despite the high degree of talent, there isn\'t an egotist among them. We all know from whom talent comes and we acknowledge Him. There is a sweet sense of humility even in the group\'s striving for excellence. Let us come and worship together with you and your congregation.
